As an indie author in the early stages of their career I’m a long way from being a household name (except in my own). One way I’m raising my profile is at artisan markets. Meeting lots of lovely book lovers and chatting about my little slices of sunshine with secrets is wonderful. I’m always incredibly grateful to those who support local authors and take a chance on an unknown.
Thank you to everyone who came to Hexham Local Makers Christmas Market, Wylam Artisan Market and Longframlington Artisan Christmas Market this November. And massive thanks for purchasing signed copies of my Apokeri Bay series, along with a free postcard and bookmark. I got very excited when a lady walked up to my Hexham stall and said I’ve got a list of local authors to read and you’re one of them. After a lovely chat she then purchased my Apokeri Bay trilogy.
