The days are lengthening, it’s not dark on the morning dog-walk and life is pushing up through the grass. Snowdrops are swaying in the breeze, along with cyclamen and hellebores and I’ve even sees some early flowering daffodils. Yes, winter is slowly loosening its grip – hooray we all cheer. However, I did have to scrap ice off the windscreen the other week, so we’re not out of the woods quite yet.
With a few months to go before our bones are warmed by glorious summer sunshine, why not get a head start?
Apokeri Bay is a little slice of Greek sunshine, transported to your living room, your commute to work or wherever else you settle down to enjoy a good book.
So where can I purchase said story?
I’ve tried to make it as easy as possible for you to pick up the first of the Apokeri Bay series. The obvious place and the world’s biggest online bookseller would of course be Amazon. Scoot on over to bag your paperback, Kindle or Kindle Unlimited copy. And to end any niggling purchasing doubts, you can even read a sample before parting with your hard-earned dosh.
But what if I don’t want to buy from a global giant?
Never fear my intrepid readers. I have you covered. If we’re sticking to online options there is a plethora of choice including: Barnes and Noble, Bookshop.org USA , Wordery, Waterstones and Blackwells.
And what if I want to support smaller independent bookshops?
We all need a thriving high street and I’m delighted that the following bookstores hold hard copies of Apokeri Bay. I’ve also included direct links to those who have their own online shops if you can’t make it there in person.
Forum Books – online and signed hard copies available at their Whitley Bay the bound branch
Book Corner – online and hard copies from this delightful Saltburn-by-the-Sea store
Featherbed Books – online and hard copies at this wonderful family-owned Houghton-le-Spring business
Drake The Bookshop – online and hard copies from this most magical little bookshop in Stockton on Tees
The Guisborough Bookshop – hard copies only at this brilliant bookshop in a bustling market town close to the North York Moors.
The Whitby Bookshop – hard copies only from this Dracula-famous Yorkshire coastal town
1b Books – hard copies only from this gem of a new and second hand bookshop on Bolingbroke Street, Heaton, Newcastle-upon-Tyne
What if my local bookshop isn’t on the list?
Did you know that you can easily order books that a bookshop doesn’t stock? With only a finite shelf space, a huge amount of bookshop business comes from special orders. All you need to do is ask for Apokeri Bay. It might take a few days to arrive, but you’ll be supporting your favourite bookstore. And it doesn’t get any better than that.
‘This feel-good debut is perfect for all lovers of women’s contemporary fiction, or anyone seeking sunshine.’
